Scheduling Using Override

This article summarizes how to schedule an appointment outside of the provider’s normal availability.

When the provider’s schedule is booked, or you want to make an exception to patient scheduling rules, you may need to override the scheduling limitations. 

1. Navigate to Scheduling.

2. Click ADD.

3. Select Add New Appointment.

4. Enter the patient’s name, the provider, the location, the appointment type, the room, and the case, if needed.

5. Select Override. This will allow you to schedule on any date at any time, regardless of provider availability, scheduling rules, or previously scheduled appointments.

Note: A warning message will appear to remind you that you might be scheduling outside of available times.

6. Select the date, time, and duration of the appointment.

7. Click SCHEDULE.
